Does Anybody Know What Time It Is? #outofworktimelord

Really, is this necessary? I mean… yeah, it’s nice to have light at sparrow fart when Little Miss Mayhem begins her campaign to avert starvation…

Look, see how thin she’s getting?

Herself at rest next to my leg—otherwise called taking up more than her half of the middle.

But do we really, really, REALLY need it dark at 4:54pm EST? I know I don’t!

And that wicked case of winter blues, aka SAD (seasonal affective disorder), is just waiting in the wings to make my life miserable. Already I’m craving chocolate and warm bread fresh out of the oven…

Oh wait, I don’t have to crave! I baked two delish loaves of pumpkin chocolate chip bread, one to freeze, the other to enjoy for breakfast or with a scoop of French vanilla ice cream while watching the games today. I got a temporary upgrade to DirecTV’s premium plan and all of a sudden we’re awash in sports channels we never knew existed. Talk about hog heaven!

Ah, life is good, even without a full spectrum lamp to tease my brain into thinking it’s the middle of summer.

Wishing y’all a good day. Forget the clocks, get your weary bones outside and enjoy yet another taste of Indian summer. Winter will be here soon enough.

About Nya Rawlyns

Nya Rawlyns doesn’t write typical romance. She writes emotion as a contact sport, rough and often raw. It need not be pleasant, heart-warming or forever after. What she seeks is what lies beneath—a dance of extremes, the intersect of need and desire, and the compromises we make when pain and pleasure become indistinguishable. ***** She has lived in the country and on a sailboat on the Chesapeake Bay, earned more than 1000 miles in competitive trail and endurance racing, taught Political Science to unwilling freshmen, and found an avocation in materials science. ***** When she isn’t tending to her garden or the horses, the cats, or three pervert parakeets, she can be found day dreaming and listening to the voices in her head.
