A potentially career changing decision that my friends and confidants are
nagging at me to reconsider. I’ll ruminate later…
I don’t make RESOLUTIONS anymore, mostly because short term memory is shot (that’s my story…), but what I do wish for is a gentle transition for my daughter as she approaches some very scary (to me) surgeries this coming spring. I admit to trepidation that the person I see now won’t be recognizable, though underneath the skin will still be the same person I know and love. This path she’s on is torturous and fraught with complications. I worry. I’m a mother. It’s what I do.
So here’s to all of us. May 2016 be the year we rediscover serenity, courage and a dollop of common sense to handle the challenges that await.

I’m guilty of being one of those nagging at you to reconsider your decision, honey. BUT and its a biggie, ONLY you can choose what is right for you in that time, and in that moment. Ultimately those of us that both like and respect you will support that decision.

Ro will be fine. She is becoming herself and some of us are only just getting there after 60 years. 2016 will be like 2015, but different in the same way every cat is different and the same. The thing is that to be afraid is pointless and it won’t change anything, so just embrace it in such a way that you can kick it in the goolies if it causes too much trouble.
