The Boot Knockers Ranch is where ladies can go to work out issues. In this episode, we are introduced to Lissy, an athlete who excels at beach volleyball and equestrian show jumping, but her schedule leaves her little time for men, let alone romance. That’s bad enough but Lissy is also a virgin, and she’s at that point in her life where it’s time to do something about it.

The Boot Knockers brochure is enough for her to say ‘sign me up’.

Jack and Paul are best friends, sharing chores and a love for the land and the ranching way of life. Paul is one of the ranch’s rookies but he’s proved himself a valuable member of the team and a prime catch for the ladies. While most of the cowboys aren’t shy about pursuing relationships with their fellow wranglers, Paul is vocally heterosexual despite Jack’s instincts that tell him differently.

Jack’s the one who hits the lottery with Lissy, and when he gets the striking athlete alone, he finds he may have gotten more than he bargained for. Lissy is a real live wire and Jack is smitten, but he isn’t the only one. Paul has his eye on the tall woman also … and when it’s apparent Jack needs a little backup in the loving department…?

Well, as they say, one thing leads to another, and another, and who*ee is it ever hot in here.

Lissy isn’t the usual shy flower who needs to be nurtured. She’s strong, she’s determined and she’s adventurous. I loved her in a you-go-girl way, but the characters I fell for, hard, were Jack and Paul—their friendship felt real with best friends kind of bantering, and the hesitant steps they take when it becomes clear that what’s between them is smokin’ hot is a real page turner. Their solution to how they can work out their combined futures is satisfying and believable.

My only concern with the series is… Are they going to run out of hot cowboys, because, dayyum, that would sure be a shame.
